Meet Dr. Jason Venn of Frisco TX

Dr. Jason Venn and familyFor Years I Suffered with Sinus Infections…

In fact from the first few months of my life I suffered with sinus and ear infections every few months until I was 18 years old when I got my first chiropractic adjustment. I’ve never had another infection since…

Why I became a chiropractor in Frisco, TX

Ever since I was a little kid, I had this intense desire to help people. I knew I wanted to be a doctor but I also knew that I did not want to simply prescribe medications to people every day. So, when someone would ask me as a little kid what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would say a doctor of muscles. Of course, they would laugh since there really isn’t such a thing, and at the time, I didn’t know what chiropractic was.  I just kept saying I wanted to be a doctor of muscles. I finally met a chiropractor who sat me down and explained what he learned in school and what he did.  I realized for the first time in my life that this was the doctor I wanted to be!

I realized that chiropractic would give me a way to feed my passion for helping people by finding and correcting the underlying cause of what makes them sick or suffer in pain without prescribing drugs or surgery. I had found my calling. I AM a chiropractor. I mean this in the sense that being a Frisco chiropractor is not my job, it is who I am. Ironically, my name Jason means “healer” so I was destined to be in a healing profession from the beginning.

I went to the University of Texas at Arlington where I got my B.S. of Anatomy. At UTA, I became a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity in which I plan on staying involved for the rest of my life. I earned my Doctorate of Chiropractic at Parker University.

The first thing I learned when I started Chiropractic school was how many hours we had to take. We actually took more credit hours than medical doctors do in medical school! Of course they have more time spent as interns but our actual course load was greater than theirs.

The second thing I learned was that Chiropractors are primary care physicians which basically means we have to learn some of everything, from gynecology to neurology, to be able to diagnose and refer when necessary.

I think the defining moment in my chiropractic education was when I received my first GONSTEAD adjustment. I was struggling with the idea of the most common technique being a very general manipulation that did not require much skill in determining what to adjust. In addition, while I did get good results with this general manipulation as a patient, I still dealt with spinal issues that didn’t seem to go away completely. The moment I received my first Gonstead adjustment, I knew this is what I had to do. Not only was it extremely specific and precise at adjusting the correct bone in the exact direction needed, it also finally corrected the nagging spinal issues that I had been dealing with. This difference between Gonstead and the general manipulation was like night and day with Gonstead being light years ahead of the typical treatment. I had found my niche! If you’re in search of a Gonstead chiropractor in Frisco, TX, I’m here to help.

While at Parker, I held every office of the Gonstead club including secretary, treasurer, vice-president, and president. I was an instructor for the club for my last two years of school. I suppose my reputation grew quickly since I often would have members of the faculty come to me for advice or an adjustment. I have also taken over 400 extra hours of classroom study specializing in the Gonstead System of Chiropractic. After graduation, I was accepted by one of the national Gonstead instructors to participate in an externship program in a Gonstead chiropractic office for an additional 3 months. This externship program was not required by any governing body, but it did provide me with wonderful experiences that could never have been attained in school. I have traveled to Peru and El Salvador on Chiropractic mission trips where I adjusted more than 100 underprivileged people per day for weeks at a time. These mission trips were fantastic! Not only was I given the opportunity to serve the people, I grew tremendously as a person in the process. I’m very thankful to have been able to participate. I also enjoy giving back to my profession by holding seminars for the students studying the Gonstead system. I strongly feel that the more people I educate, the more people there will be who can better serve their patients. My goal is to touch as many lives as possible!

I am in this profession because of my intense desire to help people. I truly believe that everyone on the planet should be regularly checked by a Gonstead Chiropractor. My job as a Chiropractor in Frisco, TX is not only to adjust the spine, but to find the cause of what makes my patients ill no matter what that might be. I am extremely passionate about the need for everyone to get adjusted. I and all of my family get regular Chiropractic check-ups. My dog has been adjusted and of course Caden and Grayson both have received many adjustments and get checked weekly. Both of my boys were checked and adjusted on the first day of their life. They are now some of the healthiest kids I know! My goal is to help everyone reach their maximum potential through chiropractic care and education!

While symptom relief is very important and we are very good at relieving symptoms, the focus is always on improving someone’s health. Since you can have zero symptoms and still have many things wrong with your health.  I use medical intuition in addition to the traditional chiropractic and alternative medicine protocols to determine someone’s need for care. When I recommend care for a patient, it is NEVER based only on their symptoms. Instead it is based primarily on the current health of their body while still keeping their symptoms in mind. Of course, as their health improves so do their symptoms.

All of my treatment plans are completely based on the specific patient. I do not have a generic treatment plan that I try to force on every individual. Since every person is unique, I treat them as such. Unfortunately, I often times get very difficult cases that have had problems developing for most of their lives so it may take some time to get them better. BUT, as long as we get the required time, I believe I can help anyone! You just have to remember that it took a lifetime to get into this position so it will take time to get out of it. The patients who get the best results are usually the ones who are open to healing from multiple types of treatments. Some people are extremely deficient in certain nutrients, for example, and therefore are very difficult to help unless they take a supplement along with their adjustment regimen. There might be a specific exercise that needs to be performed so that the adjustment will hold. There could be underlying emotional trauma that needs to be addressed with NET, Neuro Emotional Technique, in order for them to see the improvements in their physical body. Through medical intuition, I am able to gather a wealth of information about the function of someones body so if a person is open to receiving the recommendations, we can see fantastic results!

I literally see miracles happen every single day! If a person could just come sit in my practice for just one full day, they would never question the need for Chiropractic again! I absolutely love being a Chiropractor in Frisco TX!  Watching my patients feel good again and improving their lives is the most satisfying thing I get from practice. Patients often joke about how excited I get when an adjustment goes really well. It’s true! After being in practice this long, I still get excited after every great adjustment! I think they think I like to hear the noise but the truth is I get excited because I know the power of the adjustment. I understand the depth of healing that will take place as a result of that adjustment. I truly believe that with every adjustment, I am saving a life.

Our mission at Venn Chiropractic and Wellness Center is to touch as many lives as possible in order to allow the human spirit inside every human being to fully express itself perfectly. Our goal is to provide the highest quality Gonstead Chiropractic care to correct vertebral subluxations, the cause of all disease, to get sick people well. We are dedicated to not only educating our patients but ourselves as well, for when we stop learning, someone else suffers.

In this office, we accept nothing less than perfection always keeping in our mind’s eye the perfect adjustment with the perfect treatment to attain perfect health. By understanding that perfection is an ideal, we know it is something to always strive for while never being able to fully grasp it. It is this constant striving for the ideal of perfection that gives us the confidence and our patients the comfort that we are giving them the best Frisco Gonstead Chiropractic care possible.

I am married to the most amazing woman I’ve ever met, Rachel. We have two rowdy boys. Caden is 12 and loves playing football and soccer. Grayson just turned 10 and keeps us laughing constantly. We have one dog—a white lab named Aspen. Family is extremely important to me as is Faith. All else in my life simply revolves around them. I am a devout Christian so God always comes first in my life. With all the many goals I have, being a man of God is #1.

Outside of practice, I love staying as active as possible. I currently train 4 days a week in Brazilian jiu jitsu and lift weights 2-3 days per week to help my body hold up in training. I love the grind of training and have earned my black belt! While I do have goals, I look at my workouts as a lifestyle that will never end. I may not be the best or most genetically gifted, but I never quit. I was blessed to have a father instill this work ethic in me and I strive to give the same to my boys.

Rachel and I are very active and love taking long walks to the park with the boys and Aspen. We both eat a very strict, healthy diet during the week so we look forward to our “cheat” meal on the weekend. This is often times the highlight of the week! As funny as our friends think it is, we are serious about our cheat meal! Rachel thinks it’s crazy that I had not had a doughnut in more than 10 years when I met her. I am a huge Dallas Cowboy fan but don’t really follow football in general. I was on a boxing team for several years in college so I still try to catch all the major fights. I love watching the UFC as well. I was a competitive powerlifter for several years in my 30’s but decided to stop competing as a result of an injury. In essence, health, wellness and an active lifestyle are extremely important for me and my family. I live the exact lifestyle that I preach, striving for ultimate health every day of my life.

Practicing What I Preach

My family and I all get chiropractic check-ups weekly to make sure our nervous system and body is functioning at 100%. Our diet is exactly as I would recommend to my patients avoiding all sugar, processed carbs, artificial sweeteners, etc. We do allow ourselves a cheat meal on the weekend to enjoy food some too but Monday through Friday we eat perfectly. Every morning each of us takes the required supplements that our bodies need to function at our best based on the findings I got using Medical Intuition. This Intuition is a blessing from God that literally allows me to receive answers when I pray. As my faith in God is unwavering, I trust his words to help us achieve the best health possible. We avoid all vaccinations. Both of my sons have never been vaccinated, and they are the healthiest children I’ve ever seen! We avoid all medications and use natural ways to boost the immune system when needed. While I realize there is a place for medicine when it comes to crisis care, medicine has NO place in prevention or health maintenance. God made our bodies perfectly able to heal on their own. Our job is to simply remove any interference with chiropractic or support with nutrition and then let our bodies do the job they were designed to do!
